For the 2017 Crunchies Awards, TechCrunch was looking for event branding that continued the ongoing reference to the the film 2001 and the Facebook mantra of 'move fast and break things'. The event needed a logo, print and digital promotional materials, and branding for award titles and motion graphics templates for the event production team and on-site vendors.
After presenting three directional concepts for the visual theme, the client and I decided to move forward with a retro-comic book inspired aesthetic. From there, I created a style guide for other designers and event organizers that directed the creation of all the necessary deliverables.
Clients and key stakeholders we're impressed with the speed of execution and delivery of assets, and the visual experience at the event was well recieved by attendees.
